- Description
- The Department of Homeland Security, Federal Protective Service, East Consolidated Contracts Group, intends to procure armed protective security services at the following Food and Drug Administration sites in the Rockville, MD, area: 1350 Picard Drive, 12420 Parklawn Drive, 5516 Nicholson Lane, 5510 Nicholson Lane, 8301 Murkirk Road, 16071 Industrial Drive (Gaithersburg), 2098 Gaither Road, 7500 Standish Place, 7520 Standish Place, 9200 Corporate Drive (Gaithersburg), and 5630 Fishers Lane. As an integral part of this security effort, the contractor shall provide and maintain all management, supervision, manpower, training, equipment, supplies, license, permits, certificates, insurance, pre-employment screenings, reports, and files necessary to accomplish the requirement. The issuance of the Request for Proposal (RFP) will result in an Indefinite Delivery - Indefinite Quantity type, labor hour contract and will be issued as a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. The resultant contract will consist of a one-year base period and four (4) one-year option periods. Total guard hours are estimated at approximately 175,830 per year. It is noted that additional sites may be added after contract award. DHS Suitability is required at all sites. The RFP shall require the submission of a technical proposal as well as a price proposal and technical will be considered significantly more important than price. The technical factor is Past Performance. It is anticipated that the subject solicitation will be issued to the FBO website during the week of August 1st. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor the website for the issuance of the RFP as well as any amendments. All contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database ( www.ccr.gov ).
