Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for non-personal service prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) This Combined Synopsis/Solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) 0010062754. (iii) This Combined Synopsis/Solicitation and the provisions and clauses incorporated are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-16. (iv) This acquisition is a Small Business Set-aside, Size standards - $6.0 Million. The applicable NAICS is 711130. Place of performance is Ft. Greely, AK in the remote town of Delta Junction, AK (v) The items requested are as follows: ITEM NUMBER 0001, 1 ea. - Musician to provide appropriate musical support during the Designated worship services. The Musician shall provide instrumental music to assist the congregation in worship. The Musician must; (1) Communicate with the chaplain, song/worship leaders, and other musicians conducting the service to ensure a coordinated service of worship for the congregation, plan and coordinate all musical selections with the chaplain or his designated representative to select music in keeping with the theme of the worship service. (2) Select music and play piano for preludes, postlude, offertory, and background for meditation and prayers that enhances the atmosphere of worship. (3) Coordinate with the chaplain or worship leader and adjust tempo. And style of accompaniment to enhance the congregation's ability to participate in worship through the singing of hymns, choruses and spiritual song. Musician Qualifications; (1) Demonstrated ability to satisfactorily play the piano. (2) Demonstrated ability to satisfactorily play all selections in the Armed Forces Hymnal and other hymnals and/or songbooks designated by the pastor. (3) Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English for coordination with the pastor and/or his/her designated worship leader and for satisfactorily completion of the administrative tasks required of a contractor. (4) Demonstrate the ability to assist the Chaplain or Worship Leader in selecting music for preludes, postludes, offertory, and background for meditation and prayers that enhances the atmosphere of worship. (5) Demonstrated ability to lead choirs and/or musical ensembles in rehearsal and performance of the worship music (6) will sing as required and at times accompany the church choir as needed. Specific and Implied Services; (1) Play the piano for the designated worship service, including: Accompany singing of hymns, choruses, and spiritual songs: perform preludes; postludes; offertory; and background for meditation and prayers; that enhances the atmosphere of worship for the particular congregation. Prelude is 15 minutes prior to the designated start time and postlude is at least 15 minutes at the conclusion of the worship service. (1) Play the piano as accompaniment for the choir and/or worship team rehearsals. The contractor must accomplish the following implied tasks and activities to effectively provide the instrumental music service noted above; (1) Communicate with the chaplain, song/worship leaders, and other musicians conducting the service to ensure coordinated service of worship for the congregation. Plan and coordinate all musical selections with the chaplain pastor or his/her designated representative to select music in keeping with the theme of the worship service. (2) Select and play piano for preludes, postludes, offertory, and background for meditations and prayers that enhance the atmosphere of worship for the particular congregation. (3) Coordinate with the worship leader and adjust tempo and style of accompaniment to enhance the congregation's ability to participate in worship through the singing of hymns, choruses, and spiritual songs. (4) Provide music selection to the chaplain in time to be published in the bulletin for the service. (5) Notify the pastor concerning any maintenance problems or requests concerning the instruments of the Chapel facility. (6) Submit invoices for the previous month's contract services to the Chaplain for verification not later than the 10th day of the next month. The 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, Commercial, applies to this acquisition, along with the following addenda. (ix) Offers will be evaluated using the following evaluation factors, technically acceptable, price.. The contract will be awarded to the offeror that provides the best value to the government. (x) All offers must include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications, I) (xi) The clause at 52.212-4, Contract terms and Conditions Commercial Items applies to this acquisition along with the following addenda: 52.219-1, Small Business Program Representations (Apr 2002).
