- United States Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is soliciting quotes to provide the work and services necessary to remove and replace the existing exterior freezer storage unit. The following services are required: Contractor shall supply all labor, material, tools, equipment and supervision necessary to remove and replace the existing exterior freezer storage unit. Approximate nominal freezer exterior dimensions are 18'L x 10'W x 8'-10"H. Provide necessary labor and equipment to remove and legally dispose of the existing walk in freezer and all mechanical components. Provide one new 10' x 18' x 9' -6" storage freezer capable of maintaining temperatures of -20 degrees on the existing concrete pad. Completion time for this project is 45 calendar days after notice to proceed. This is a total small business set-aside. Estimated Construction cost is $25,000 to $100,000. The Request for Quotation documents will be available on or about 8/3/2011 and can be uploaded from this website. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. This service is being procured under the guidelines of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR Part 36 Construction. NAICS code is 238210. The size standard is $14.0M. HOW TO OBTAIN A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION: The Solicitation for the above requirements will be posted on FedBizOpps (FBO) (www.fbo.gov). Hard copies will not be available. The solicitation will be made available for download on or about August 3, 2011. Eastern Acquisition Division, requires that all Contractors doing business with this officer be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). No award can be made to a company not registered in CCR. For additional information to register in CCR, please access the following web site: http://www.ccr.gov. In order to register, all firms must have a Dun & Bradstreet Number. A Dun & Bradstreet number may be acquired free of charge by contacting Dun & Bradstreet on-line at https://www.dnb.com/product/eupdate/requestOptions.html or by phone at (800) 333-0505.
