- The Overseas Private Investment Corporation ("OPIC") is considering the creation of a U.S. Bankers' Lending Facility to provide guarantees to U.S. community and regional banks for the loans they offer to SME clients in support of certain projects in any of the approximately 150 emerging market countries where OPIC is active. Please see OPIC's website for the list of countries in which OPIC's programs are open ( "OPIC-eligible countries" ). In order to determine the level of interest of U.S. community and regional banks in this initiative, we are conducting a survey to elicit responses from bank decision-makers.
