Description
Cancellation Amendment 0002 07/26/2011- THE SOLICITATION IS HEREBY CANCELLED IN ITS ENTIRETY. THE SOLICITATION WILL BE REISSUED AT A LATER DATE UNDER A NEW NUMBER. This is a Total Small Business Set Aside requirement for the Overhaul ofthe F-16 Primary/Secondary Heat Exchanger. The contractor shall provideall labor, facilities, equipment and all material to accomplish theoverhaul, test, packing, preservation and packaging of the F-16 HeatExchanger. A firm fixed price contract is contemplated. Thisrequirement is being solicited as one basic year and four one yearoption periods. The solicitation number will be FA8118-11-R-0017. Theitem and quantities are as follows: Item 0001: Remanufacture NSN 1660 01 331 0068, P/N: 764967-7, Noun, F-16Heat Exchanger; Applicable to F-16 aircraft; Description, Approx 23"l x21"w x 20" h. The regenerative heat exchanger is a rectangular weldedaluminum alloy or steel unit with five ports and a scupper, providingadditional cooling of the high pressure bleed air leaving theprimary/secondary heat exchanger. Heat is transferred to cool air fromthe cooling turbine by effecting evaporation of water collected in thewater separatorQuantity will range from Minimum to Maximum order quantities: Basic Year, Min 5 ea: Max 96 eaOption I, Min 5 each: Max 96 each; Option II, Min 5 each: Max 96 each; Option III, Min 5 each: Max 96 each; Option IV, Min 5 each: Max 96 each. Item 0002: Over and Above Work.Item 0003: Data IAW DD 1423.Deliveries are to be 8 each per month 30 days after receipt of order andreparables. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 4 Mar 2011.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS APPLY. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish theauthority of the program director or contracting officer, but tocommunicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, andrecommendations to the appropriate government personnel.
