- THIS IS A TOTAL 100% SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) SET ASIDE. The Department of Veterans Affairs, intends to issue a firm fixed price contract for Stripping and Finishing of the hallways. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, supervision, and other items and services necessary to strip and refinish the floors in the hallways. The estimated total square footage for the hallways in the facility is 225,793, at Michael E Debakey Veteran Affairs Medical Center (MEDVAMC) property located at 2002 Holcombe Boulevard. Houston, Texas. All work shall be in accordance with written specifications. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561720. The US Small Business Administration size standard is $12,000,000.00. The solicitation package will be available for downloading at https://www.fbo.gov on or about August 1, 2011. Firms must have a current registration with the Central Contractor Registration at http://www.ccr.gov and be verified by the Center for Veterans Enterprise at http://www.vetbiz.gov and have Certifications and Representations, ORCA, at http://orca.bpn.gov, for their proposal to be considered responsive. Amendments to the solicitation will also be posted on https://www.fbo.gov and all parties must obtain copies of the amendments thru this website. Hard copies of any documents will not be available. All questions in regards to this solicitation must be submitted in writing to the issuing office via email to kever.swafford@va.gov. NO telephone requests will be accepted. Issue date is tentatively scheduled for August 01, 2011. A Pre-Proposal/Site Visit will be announced in the solicitation documents. The date for receipt of proposals will be announced in the solicitation documents. The entire solicitation, including the specifications and drawings, will be made available via electronic media at https://www.fbo.gov.
