- THIS IS A SOURCES-SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THERE ARE NO FUNDS AVAILABLE AND NO AWARD WILL BE MADE FROM THIS NOTICE. THE PURPOSE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE USED BY THE GOVERNMENT TO MAKE APPROPRIATE ACQUISITION DECISIONS. A SUBSEQUENT SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT MAY FOLLOW. RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AS AN ADEQUATE RESPONSE TO ANY FUTURE ANNOUNCEMENT. The Minneapolis VA Health Care System (MVAHCS) is requesting information for an ON-call Interventional Cardiologist for 1 evening in 4 and 1 weekend in 4. The hours will be from 5pm to 7am the following morning, and from 5pm Friday to 7am Monday morning for the weekend. If called in, then a flat hourly rate will be applied for hours worked. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified individuals, businesses, and professional groups. The responses to this announcement will assist in determining pricing structure of procurement, and to identify socio-economic set aside if feasible. Interested parties should provide the following: Company Name, Company Address, Point of Contact, (POC) phone number/email address, DUNS number and capability statement for the services as stated above. Responses to this notice should include the size of your business pursuant to the following questions: (1) Is your business large or small (2) If small, does your firm qualify as a small, emerging business, or small disadvantaged business? (3) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and if your firm is certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act? (4) Is your firm a certified hubzone firm? (5) Is your firm a woman-owned or operated business? (6) Is your firm a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small or Veteran Owned Small Business? Those wishing to identify their capability to provide the afore-mentioned service should respond to this announcement via email to douglas.strong@va.gov no later than August 02, 2011 4:00 p.m. central time. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government.
