- This amendment to Solicitation is to incorproate the following questions and answers: Question: How many courses are provided through DAC? The duration of each course in man-hours? The fee for each course? The duration of each course in man-hours? The fee for each course? Answer: DAC PROVIDES ALL MANDATORY TRAINING CONCERNING EXPLOSIVES; MANDATORY COURSES ARE LISTED WITHIN DA PAM 385-64 CHAPTER 1 SECTION 1-8, TABLE 1-1, POSITION LISTED AS AMMUNITION AREA/OPERATION SUPERVISOR SETS THE STANDARD. Further training requirements are listed in AMC Regulation 350-4 (Training and Certification Program for Personnel Working in Ammunition Operations). Cost/duration or questions concerning courses can be found at the Defense Ammunition Center located at McAlester, Oklahoma http://ammo.okstate.edu/ http://ammo.okstate.edu/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&id=50&Ite mid=76 Question: Will the Government please clarify that Part 1 Technical Management approach is 15 pages, and Part 2 Cost/Price Proposal is 15 pages to equal a total page count of Parts 1 & 2 to be 30 pages. Answer: Section L of the solicitation has your instructions. The total page count for Parts 1 & 2 is 15 (not 15 each). Question: What is the current contract value? Answer: $172,094 Question: Can the Government provide the naming convention for electronic proposal submissions? Answer: Use your Company Name and the Solicitation Number. Question: Can the government give a listing of personal protective equipment required? Answer: STANDARD PPE: ANNUAL SUPPLY Steel toe boots1EA. Face shields2EA. Goggles2EA. Cotton Coveralls2EA. Leather gloves2EA. Question: What is the duration of the visits to Letterkenny? How many persons are required for each trip? Answer: Approximately 3 to 4 days per Quarter. Typically 2 contractor personnel are required for each trip. Question: How many persons are you requesting? And what do you anticipate for the future? Answer: The current workload supports 4. The workload may vary over the next 2 years and could require up to 8 contractor personnel. Question: Will there be a separate CLIN for travel? Answer: No. All cost shall be included in CLIN 0001. Question: While away for training, who will be fulfilling the requirements? Answer: The Contractor is responsible for scheduling training and time management. The Contractor shall coordinae with the COR to insure mission requirements can be met with available personnel. Question: Is it required to pay contractors hazardous pay? Answer: If contractors choose to provide their employees with Hazard and Hardship payments, these costs should be incorporated into their labor rates Question: Who initiates the opening of the boxes/crates at the receiving point? Answer: Army EOD specialist initially opens the ammo explosives at receiving point and provides and EOD certification. Contractor personnel are responsible for handling ammunition explosives after EOD certification. Question: Can the Government provide the workload history? Answer: 1 SUPERVISOR 3 WORKERS TOTAL LINE ITEMS APG: 675ea.
