- Description
- Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and other resources to complete this project. The principal components of the work involve the construction of a high voltage 230/115-kV electrical substation addition to the existing substation near Watford City, North Dakota. Work includes sitework, concrete foundations, fencing, grounding system, furnishing and installing galvanized steel structures, major outdoor electrical equipment, installing Government-furnished circuit breakers, disconnect switches, and other additional items as described on the drawings and specifications. The work is located in McKenzie County, North Dakota. This solicitation is Full and Open Competition - Sealed Bids and the NAICS code is 237130. The estimated construction magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This solicitation will be issued on or about August 15, 2011 and the projected bid opening date is September 15, 2011. All work is to be completed within 300 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. All responsible business concerns may submit a bid which shall be considered by this Agency. A pre-bid site visit will not be held. Any non-U.S. (Foreign National) visiting or working at any Western Area Power Administration facility must receive prior written approval from the appropriate Western Security Manager. The solicitation, specifications and drawings, and any subsequent amendments will only be available in electronic format, downloadable at https://www.fbo.gov. It is the responsibility of the bidders to monitor the website for notices and amendments. All bids for this IFB shall be mailed to Western Area Power Administration, 200 4th Street SW, Huron, SD 57350-2474.
