- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a small business set aside. The solicitation number is 2131133 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ.) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-52. The National Institute on Drug Abuse on behalf of the National Institute on Mental Health (NIMH) has a requirement for a custom configured high processor to include a 64 total processor cores (128 Threads), 336GB System RAM, 48TB Raw Storage with a 10GbE connection to the switch with the following specifications: 1. One (1) Head Node to include the following: 4U Rackmount Chassis with UL approved Redundant Power Supplies; (24) Front 3.5" Hot Swappable Drive Bays; (2) Rear 2.5" Hot Swappable Drive Bays; Intel Dual Socket Motherboard with Intel 5520 Chipset; (2) Intel Xeon E5640 / Quad Core Processors / 2.66GHz / Heat Sink & Fans; (1) 48GB DDR3 1066 Mhz ECC Registered System Memory; (2) 500GB SATAII 7200 RPM Enterprise Hard Drive (OS & Raid 1 : Configured for Raid 1); (1) 3Ware 2-Port SATAII RAID Controller; (24) 2TB SAS 6Gbps 7200 RPM Enterprise Hard Drive (RAID 6 w/ 1 Hot Spare); (1)3Ware 24-Port SAS RAID Controller; (1)Slimline DVD +/- RW Dual Layer; (2) 10/100/1000 BaseT Gigabit Network Adapter on Motherboard; (1)Single Port 10GbE NIC; (1)iKVM for remote management ;Onboard Graphics; Rackmount Sliding Rails; (1)Power Cord; HPC Head Node Edition includes CentOS 5.5 and CBeST Cluster Management Toolkit 2. (1) One APC SUA2200RM2U 2200VA Rackmount UPS with Environmental Monitoring Card 13. On-Site Installation Services including Racking all Nodes, UPS, PDUs, Switch in existing rack and cabling all Network and Power Cables, On-Site Power On/Off of system. 14. One (1) Three year hardware warranty The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Provision 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items states the specific evaluation criteria (technical most important) 1) demonstrated ability to conduct analysis; 2) past performance (up to 3 projects of similar scope and size.) Offeror's prices will be evaluated on a best value basis. Offerors are advised to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its offer. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
