Description
This solicitation will be a HUBZone Set-Aside competitive procurement. Any resulting contract will be firm-fixed priced. The solicitation for this project will be available by INTERNET ACCESS ONLY and will be available for download on or about 16 Aug 2011. Access to the documents will be through a link on the FedBizOpps website: http://www.fbo.gov. Use the Advance Search function and use this solicitation number to Search by Solicitation/Award Number. Any future amendments to the solicitation will also be available for download from the FedBizOpps website. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: USCG Hickory Berth Area - Sediment Trap, Homer, AK - US Army Corp of Engineers has the intention of soliciting for the removal of approximately 10,000 cubic yards (CY) of material creating a sediment trap in the Homer Harbor area. Awarded contractor will furnish all personnel, plant, equipment, transportation and materials necessary to accomplish task. Excavation is anticipated to be via conventional means using excavators, loaders, and etc. Removed material will be trucked to a pre-determined disposal site. Excavation activities will need to coincide with low tide cycles. Low light or night time excavation may be necessary to coordinate optimal tidal changes. Two surveys will be required pre and post excavation. Work is to commence after award and project completion prior to Jan. 30, 2012. The Davis-Bacon Act will apply. All Offerors are advised that this project may be canceled or revised at any time during the solicitation, selection, evaluation, and up to final award. All Offerors are advised that they must be registered in CCR (https://www.bpn.gov/CCR/scripts/index.html) and ORCA ( http://orca.bpn.gov ) in order to receive an award. Contractor shall comply with commercial and industry standards, and all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations and procedures. Joint ventures must also be registered in CCR and ORCA as a joint venture. We advise offerors to begin this process when they prepare their proposal in order to ensure this registration is in place should they be selected for the award. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an Offeror ineligible for award, (Reference DFAR 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration). NAICS Code: 237990 which has a size standard of $33.5 million. This project is being issued as a HUBZone Set-aside.
