- Description
- FSR No. 2361 M.P. 3.0 & 3.5 Culvert Replacement. The Olympic National Forest, Washington, intends to acquire by contract repair of Forest Service Road (FSR) No. 2361, at M.P. 3.0 & 3.5. The project consists of the following major items of work at M.P. 3.0: removal of existing 54-inch culvert pipe and installation of a new 84-inch span, 61-inch rise, arch pipe. At M.P. 3.5: removal of existing 54-inch culvert pipe and installation of a 101-inch span, 72-inch rise, structural plate pipe arch. At both sites work consists of: mobilization: reconstruction of the roadway; replacing roadway fill; clearing & grubbing; haul of material; seeding and mulching. This project is located on the Hood Canal Ranger District of the Olympic National Forest, Section 28, Township 23 North, Range 06 West W.M., near Shelton, Washington. Project site may be reached by traveling north from Shelton on HWY 101 for approximately 7.0 miles to Skokomish Valley Road. Proceed approximately 5.5 miles to FSR No. 23. Proceed approximately 14 miles to FSR 2361. Proceed 3.0 and 3.5 miles to project sites. Contract period of performance is from July 15, 2012, to September 30, 2012. Project Manager is Mr. Guadalupe Cisneros, 360-956-2353. The government will proceed to issue a solicitation as a Request for Proposals. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. Offerors will be evaluated on price, experience, and past performance. Contract award will be to the offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is the best value to the government. The government estimated value is between $100,000 and $250,000. No bid bond is required if the contract price is less than $150,000.00 and only payment protection is required. If the contract price is greater than $150,000.00, bid, performance and payment bonds are required. Davis-Bacon wage rates apply to any resulting contract. The proposed contract-type is firm-fixed price. This solicitation will be available on or about AUG 17, 2011. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award.
