42d Contracting Squadron at Maxwell Air Force Base, AL is requesting information for IBM DOORS 9.2 Software Training. This is a Request for Information (RFI) ONLY. It is not a Request for Proposal (or solicitation) or an indication of a contractual commitment. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS RFI OR OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED. The purpose of this market research (Source Sought Synopsis) is to determine if small business contractors can meet the following requirements: CLIN 0001: DOORS SOFTWARE VERSION 9.2 "FOUNDATION" TRAINING CLIN 0002: DOORS SOFTWARE VERSION 9.2 "PRACTITIONER" TRAINING CLIN 0003: DOORS SOFTWARE VERSION 9.2 "CONSULTATION SERVICES CLIN 0004: VENDOR TRAVEL EXPENSE Vendors responding to this RFI are asked to provide the following information in their initial response: company's full name, business size, address, point of contact, and a clear indication as to whether or not they can provide ALL of the items-to include onsite training-as described in the attached "Statement of Requirement." Final responses to this RFI will be due on NLT Wednesday, 8 August 2011 at 12:00 p.m. Central Time. Responses will be reviewed and may result in further clarifications to further explore capabilities with selected respondents. As industry may expect to see portions of submitted information in future solicitations, portions of the response containing proprietary information should be clearly marked as such. Information submitted will not be returned to the respective respondents. Oral submissions of information are not acceptable and will not be accepted in response to this notice. Statement of Requirement 1.0 SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENT: Request non-personal services to provide DOORS Software (v9.2) Training in a classroom environment. The vendor selected for this effort would be required to instruct up to 8 personnel how to utilize the various functions of the DOORS Software. DOORS software is an IBM product that manages software requirements and produces software test cases, requirement traceability matrixes, and software documents. 2.0 CLIN 0001: 2.1 Require DOORS Software Training instructor to provide 8 hours of DOORS Foundation Training in a classroom environment for up to 8 personnel. 2.2 Training to be held in the SAF/FMP (AFFSO) classroom (address location noted below). 3.0 CLIN 0002: 3.1 Require DOORS Software Training instructor to provide 8 hours of DOORS Practitioner Training in a classroom environment for up to 8 personnel. 3.2 Training to be held in the SAF/FMP (AFFSO) classroom (address location noted below) 4.0 CLIN 0003: 4.1 Require 24 hours of consultation services that include desk-side support to assist students (up to 8) apply the skills learned to their daily tasks as they relate to the DOORS software program. 4.2 Consultation to be held at SAF/FMP (AFFSO), Bldg 900 (address location noted below). 5.0 CLIN 0004: 5.1 Travel expense 6.0 GENERAL INFORMATION: 5.1 SAF/FMP (AFFSO) requires training for DOORS Software version 9.2 5.2 SAF/FMP (AFFSO) will provide classroom facility, appropriate student PC workstations with connectivity to the DOORS software, and an overhead projection system for instructor use. 5.3 All work should be performed during normal SAF/FMP (AFFSO) business hours (i.e., 7am - 5pm, Central Standard Time: M - F). 5.4 The Government Project Lead for this requirement is Mara Donovan, Commercial 334.416.4568/ mara.donovan@gunter.af.mil. 5.5 Prefer the following schedule (NEGOTIABLE): i. Monday & Tuesday = Classroom Instruction ii.
