- Pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), the U.S. Army, MEDCOM, Western Regional Contracting Office(WRCO), Tacoma, WA, intends to issue a sole source award to Simulab in the amount of $68,500.00 to purchase the EDGE (Electronic Data Generation for Evaluation) System located at Madigan Healthcare Systems, Tacoma, WA. The EDGE System will be used in a validation study called Fundamentals of Laparoscipic Urology Skills (FLUS) and re-training of Physicians returning from deployment conducted at the Anderson Simulation Center for Department of Urology. EDGE incorprates two validated patent pending technologies exclusively licensed from the University of Washington's School of BioRobtics. This notice is not a request for proposal and no solicitation will be issued. Any firm that believes it can provide the stated supplies/equipment can provide supporting documents demonstrating their products capability and specifications within three (3) calendar days from the date of publication of this notice. Responses received will be used for future acquisitions. Information can be sent to the Purchasing Agent; Ms. Amparo Hall, amparo.hall@us.army.mil. No telephone or facsimile requests will be accepted. This procurement will be prepared in accordance with FAR Part 13, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
