- Description
- Location: Round Hill Pines Pier is located on the southeast shore of Lake Tahoe in Douglas County, Nevada. The site is accessed by taking U.S. Hwy 50 east from South Lake Tahoe, California to approximately ½ mile past the intersection of U.S. Hwy 50 and Elks Point Road in Nevada. The site is on the west side of the highway. Please note that a left turn from the highway is not advised. Project Description: The project will include the demolition and reconstruction of the pier. The project will also include a partial reconstruction on the historical rock cribbing located beneath the pier. The contractor that is awarded the project will be required to submit a BMP/erosion control plan to the Nevada Division of Environmental Protect (NDEP), Bureau of Water Pollution Control, for approval prior to the start of work. The contractor will also be required to coordinate the project with the Round Hill Pines Resort, Round Hill General Irrigation District and the Zephyr Cove Water Utility District. The Project is anticipated to start in October, 2011 and be completed by March of 2012. The contract will be responsible for snow removal.
