- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is soliciting small business HUBZone contractors for a construction project for Upgrades to Lighting, Switching, and Branch Wiring at the US Army Garrison Natick Soldier System Center, Natick, Massachusetts. Renovate and replace all standard switches to occupancy sensors within selected building and areas. Renovate and replace all exterior lighting on poles, buildings and structures throughout the installation with energy efficient lighting fixtures. The construction contract may include the following: Replacement of existing building mounted site lighting with high efficiency lighting and motion detectors/sensors. The design includes high efficiency LED fixtures. Replacement of existing pole mounted site lighting with high efficiency lighting and motion detectors/sensors. The design includes high efficiency LED fixtures. Replacement of existing interior lighting and switch control with high efficiency lighting and occupancy sensors. The design includes high efficiency fluorescent and LED fixtures. The upgrades will be constructed in accordance with ASHRAE 90.1. Replacement of existing non-LED exit lighting with LED exit lighting with battery backup in accordance with NFPA 101. The solicitation will be available on or about August 17, 2011 and will be available for downloading by accessing the Federal Business Opportunities website (http:/www.fbo.gov). In order to view this solicitation, prospective contractors are required to self register their firm with Federal Business Opportunities (go to http:/fbo.gov and register under Vendor/Citizen). Amendments, if any, to his solicitation will be made available at the http:/www.fbo.gov website. Neither telephonic, mailed nor faxed requests will be accepted. Registrants are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the FedBizOps Registration List. This procurement is a small business HUBZone set aside. The estimated cost of the contract is between $500,000 and $1,500,000. The applicable NAICS code is 238210 with a Small Business Size Standard of $14,000,000. Any responsible source meeting this standard may submit a proposal to be considered by the New England District.
