Description
The Regional Contracting Office, Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH) is soliciting sources to provide 3,500 pounds of icelandic capelin; the specifications for the purchase of icelandic capelin are as follows: Grade A, Class 1, whole fish, block frozen, sorted, females not to exceed 10%, broken/damaged NTE 3% total net weight. Packaging will be in left up to the vendor although three 9kg flats/case is preferred. Product to be packed in cardboard boxes with a plastic lining. The fish must be in good condition and pass a thorough preliminary inspection of quality. The product must be free of any signs of spoilage, disease, freezer burn, discoloration, cuts or other abrasions. The catch date for the product should be in the winter of 2010/2011. The vendor will be responsible for shipping the frozen product in good condition to building 1385 at the Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. PRODUCT MUST BE DELIVERED IN A CONTAINER WITH A FUNCTIONING GENERATOR. PRODUCT NOT DELIVERED WITH A FUNCTIONING GENERATOR WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. And 18,500 pounds of Newfoundland capelin; The specifications for the purchase of Newfoundland capelin are as follows: Grade A, Class 1, whole fish, block frozen, sorted, females not to exceed 10%, broken/damaged NTE 3% total net weight. Packaging will be two 10kg flats in cardboard boxes with a plastic lining (can be modified to fit different packaging). The fish must be in good condition and pass a thorough preliminary inspection of quality. The product must be free of any signs of spoilage, disease, freezer burn, discoloration, cuts or other abrasions. The catch date for the product should be in the summer of 2011. The vendor will be responsible for shipping the frozen product in good condition to building 1385 at the Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. PRODUCT MUST BE DELIVERED IN A CONTAINER WITH A FUNCTIONING GENERATOR. PRODUCT NOT DELIVERED WITH A FUNCTIONING GENERATOR WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. This synopsis is prepared in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The provisions and clauses in the Request for Quotations are those in effect through FAC 2005-53. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is M00318-11-T-0060. The anticipated contract will be a Firm Fixed Price Contract. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) and the small business size standard for this procurement is 424460 and 100 respectively. All contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database to be eligible for a Department of Defense contract award. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The Government will award a single contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose quote conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate the quotations: 1) Technical, 2) Past Performance, 3) Price. The RFQ will be available on or about 2 August 2011.
