- The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), Quantico, VA, and the Program Executive Office, Land Systems (PEO LS) Program Manager Marine Personnel Carrier (MPC), Woodbridge, VA, will host a Battalion Commander Introduction to MPC on 7-8 September 2011 at the Nevada Automotive Test Center, Silver Springs, NV to show Marine Corps leadership the capabilities of the MPC-Technology Demonstrator as well as vehicles currently produced by industry. Prospective contractors for the MPC program will be provided the opportunity to conduct a demonstration of the capabilities of their vehicle. Contractors will be able to interface with Marine Corps leadership and active duty only when they are viewing the vehicle. Contractors will not be able to provide any detailed briefs during the event. Vendors interested in attending the event must send an email no later than 19 August 2011, with the subject line "Battalion Commander Introduction to MPC", to Mr. Reginald Caldwell, caldwellrk@efv.usmc.mil. In the email the vendor must provide information verifying it can provide a fully operational vehicle able to demonstrate its capabilities. Only fully operational vehicles will be considered for capability demonstrations. The email must also provide the following information: Company Name and address; Name of attendees; Attendees Phone Number, Title and E-mail address; This announcement is for planning purposes only and is NOT to be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government to enter into a contractual agreement, nor will the Government pay for any information solicited. Interested parties are solely responsible for all costs and expenses associated with their respective response to this notice. The Government will not reimburse interested parties for any direct and/or indirect costs and/or expenses associated with participating in the event. Further, the Marine Corps Systems Command is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. When the solicitation is released, it will be released on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website. It is the responsibility of the potential Offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to the MPC.
