Description

This synopsis was inadvertantly advertised as a Request for Proposal. It will be procured under sealed bid procedures. The solicitation number is W911WN11B0006 (not W911WN11R0006). The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District has a need for a Requirements Contract for Building and Grounds Maintenance Services at their Crooked Creek Lake Project in Armstrong County, Ford City, Pennsylvania. Some of the services include, but are not limited to, grass mowing, trimming, maintenance of landscaped areas, debris removal, herbicide application, cleaning of offices and restrooms, shampooing and steam cleaning carpets, solid waste and raw sewage removal. This procurement is 100% set aside for small businesses (NAICS Code 561730; size standard is $7.0 Million). Two separate contracts may be awarded; one for mowing and one for janitorial. The period of performance will be from 1 October 2011 (or date of award, whichever is later) through 30 September 2012, with two one-year option periods. Contractors must be registered in he Central Contractor's Registration (CCR) database before receiving a contract award (www.ccr.gov). The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 4 August 2011 online only through Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps); therefore requests for hardcopies of the specifications will not be honored. Requests for this solicitation must be made by registering through FedBizOpps at https://www.fbo.gov. Once registered, vendors, plan rooms and printing companies will be able to download this solicitation on or after the anticipated issuance date.
