- Description
- NASA/KSC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to procure Safety and MissionAssurance Support Services II. This potential contract will require Contractor supportto assist the KSC Safety and Mission Assurance (SMA) Directorate in performingriskassessments, inspections, investigations, analyses, independent assessment of technicalissues, evaluations of work performed by other contractors and maintainingapplications/databases of related activities. NASA/KSC contemplates award of a single, level of effort, cost-plus-award fee contract,with a 2-year base period of performance and two 1-year option periods, for a totalpotential period of performance of 4 years. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Thisprocurement is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are541330 and $27M respectively. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall beconsidered by the agency.The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about August 23, 2011 with ananticipated offer due date of on or about October 11, 2011.No solicitation exists; therefore do not request a copy of the solicitation. If asolicitation is released it will be synopsized in FedBizzOpps and on the NASA AcquisitionInternet Service. It is the potential offeror's responsibility to monitor these sites forthe release of any solicitation or synopsis. An ombudsman has been appointed - See NASASpecific Note 'B'. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over theInternet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may beaccessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASABusiness Opportunities home page is http://procurement.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/EPS/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=.Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It isthe offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of thesolicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible fordownloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). All contractual technical questions must be submitted in writing to Erik C.
