Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs VISN 6 Network Contracting Activity plans to contract by means of other than full and open competition for the procurement of the UpToDate electronic clinical database subscription to be licensed to multiple VA Medical Center site users within VISN 6. The Government intends to award a sole source firm-fixed contract for this requirement under the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, ˜Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements ™. The NAICS code is 519130 and the Classification code is 76. The suggested Vendor is UpToDate, 95 Sawyer Road, Waltham, Massachusetts 02453-3471. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet this requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the noted requirement, and must indicate the technical specification of their products, past performance information, price and delivery time. Responses are due by August 15, 2011 at 8:00 am EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement and may be reviewed by Government technical representatives for consideration of future requirements.
