Description
PROJECT NAME: Hurricane Creek Dam No. 9 - Humphreys County, TN SUMMARY: Debris removal and repair of damaged areas on Hurricane Creek Dam No. 9 in Humphreys County, Tennessee. Hurricane Creek Dam No. 9 has three main areas of work: the emergency spillway and berm drains, the impact basin, and the access road. SCOPE OF WORK: The proposed treatment for the emergency spillway and berm drains area is as follows: 1. Remove woody vegetation around riser pipes. 2. Replace damaged pipe riser and re-install bar guards. 3. Place concrete aprons around pipe riser. 4. Remove rock riprap checks from emergency spillway. 5. Install French drain and pipe outlet at the end of the emergency spillway. 6. Fill gullies up to one foot below ground elevation. 7. Add a layer of topsoil (one foot thick) up to ground elevation. 8. Place sod and turf reinforcement mat. The proposed treatment for the impact basin area is as follows: 1. Inspect principal spillway conduit. 2. Install relief drain encased in drainfill. 3. Reinstall geotextile and rock riprap as necessary. The proposed treatment for the access road area is as follows: 1. Excavate to desired depth and install geotextile. 2. Place coarse aggregate layer to surface the access road section. Estimated price range is $100,000 to $249,999. Performance time is 53 calendar days. This solicitation is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code 237990 has a small business size standard of $33.5 million in average annual revenue. Bid responses are due Thursday, Septembe 8, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. local time. Fax responses will not be accepted. SITE SHOWING: A site showing will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 9:00am.
