Description
NASA, Kennedy Space Center has a requirement for the following Sigma-NeticsPressure Switches. The required items shall meet NASA Government Minimum Specifications(NASA KSC Specification #79K38735). Contractor required to provide a Certificate ofConformance (for each item) w/delivery as items have Quality Code of Q2. ITEM NO. 1Sigma-Netics Part # 703658; NASA KSC Part #79K38735-3; 703 Series Pressure Switches, 50-250 PSIG.Quantity/Unit: 4 each;ITEM NO. 2 Sigma-Netics Part # 703656; NASA KSC Part #79K38735-1;703 Series Pressure Switches, 20-60 PSIG.Quantity/Unit:10 eachAll items required to be shipped FOB Destination. Delivery required 16 weeks after receipt of order.Sigma-Netics is the manufacturer of the required pressure switches. The Sigma-Netics 703Series switches are for use in NASAs Pneumatic High Pressure Gas Card which usesexisting 702 Series Sigma-Netics switches that are of the same form, fit, and function. The switches are the only known products that have been evaluated and tested to meet theGovernments Minimum Specifications (NASA, KSC Specification #79K38735). They are alsothe only known products that will fit the existing design of NASAs Pneumatic HighPressure Gas Card without requiring design changes. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon August 25, 2011. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
