- The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) has a requirement for a Requirements Indefinite Delivery contract for the U.S. Armed Forces Laboratory. The Period of Performance for this contract will be a base year with four options years. This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-27. This is an Unrestricted Competition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 325413. The Minimum Essential Characteristics' for this requirement are the following? Performa V3 Short Plate 1.Performa DTR (Dye Terminator Removal) V3 96-Well Short Plates are gel filtration plates that consist of 440- l volume columns in a standardized array. 2.The V3 96-Well Short Plates provide optimal performance for removal of BigDye v3.0 and v3.1 along with other dye terminators, dNTPs, salts and other low molecular weight materials from sequencing reactions. 3.The V3 96-Well Short Plates also remove DNA primers and fragments up to 15 bases, buffers, and nucleotides labeled with biotin, isotopes and other assorted markers 4.The V3 96-Well Short Plates are pre-packed with a fully hydrated matrix to afford optimal handling and performance characteristics. 5.The V3 96-Well Short Plates are optimized for purification of sequencing reactions with total volumes of 5-15 l. 6.The V3 96-Well Short Plates contain no preservatives, salts, or buffers. 7.Both sides of the V3 96-Well Short Plates are sealed to prevent drying. 8.The V3 96-Well Short Plates require two short centrifugation steps (3 minutes at 850 x g and 5 minutes at 850 x g) to effectively purify sequencing reactions. 9.The V3 96-Well Short Plates fit directly onto an ABI 96-Well optical plate or similar plate (Edge Biosystems 96-well capillary plate (catalog #13506 and #90904) which can be used directly in an ABI 3730 capillary sequencer plate, thus eliminating a transfer step and the use of additional plastics. 10.The V3 96-Well Short Plates are packaged as follows: Catalog number 63887: 2 plates/kit Catalog number 47938: 10 plates (no receivers) Catalog number 89939: 10 plates/kit Catalog number 80808: 50 plates (no receivers) Performa DTR Ultra Plate 1.Performa DTR (Dye Terminator Removal) Ultra 96-Well Plates are gel filtration plates that consist of 800- l volume columns in a standardized array. 2.The Ultra 96-Well Plates provide optimal performance for removal of BigDye v3.0 and v3.1 along with other dye terminators, dNTPs, salts and other low molecular weight materials from sequencing reactions. 3.The Ultra 96-Well Plates also remove DNA primers and fragments up to 15 bases, buffers, and nucleotides labeled with biotin, isotopes and other assorted markers 4.The Ultra 96-Well Plates are pre-packed with a fully hydrated matrix to afford optimal handling and performance characteristics. 5.The Ultra 96-Well Plates are optimized for purification of sequencing reactions with total volumes of 5-20 l. 6.The Ultra 96-Well Plates contain no preservatives, salts, or buffers. 7.Both sides of the Ultra 96-Well Plates are sealed to prevent drying. 8.The Ultra 96-Well Plates require two short centrifugation steps (both are 5 minutes at 850 x g) to effectively purify sequencing reactions. 9.The Ultra 96-Well Plates fit directly onto an ABI 96-Well optical plate or similar plate (Edge Biosystems 96-well capillary plate (catalog #13506 and #90904) which can be used directly in an ABI 3730 capillary sequencer plate, thus eliminating a transfer step and the use of additional plastics. 10.The Ultra 96-Well Plates are packaged as follows: Catalog number 54789: 2 plates/kit Catalog number 74251: 10 plates (no receivers) Catalog number 55373: 10 plates/kit Catalog number 86077: 50 plates (no receivers) All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the website. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. To be eligible for an award, offerors MUST be registered with the Central Contractor Registry at https://ccr.gov/ and may have completed its representations and certification found at https://orca.bpn.gov/. Questions shall be submitted not later than 1200 hours (Eastern Day Light Savings Time) on August 30, 2011. Only one set of questions shall be received from each offeror.
