Description

This synopsis was previouly posted under W912CL-11-T-0121. The Contractor shall construct a 49.85ft x 83.96 ft multi-purpose concrete court with roof cover to serve as a multipurpose facility for the Julian Cho Technical School of Punta Gorda, Belize at N16 13'40.2 and W88 56'08.2. The Contractor shall also construct a stage. The multipurpose court shall have the following: reinforced concrete slab, steel cover, standard eave-mounted rain gutters and vertical downspouts, lightning arrester system, double ivory with grounding electrical receptacle, lighting, grounded electrical panels, protected electrical conductors. The Contractor shall provide and install a basketball system (i.e. board, poles, rim, and outdoor rim net), volleyball system (i.e. three adjustable positions galvanized poles, steel sleeves to ease installation and removal of poles, and outdoor volleyball net), and soccer goals (portable soccer goals with 1 inch steel frame and outdoor net, 9ft long). The Contractor shall paint court lines as described in design. The finished floor elevation of the court shall be a minimum of 50 mm above the highest adjacent finished ground surface. The finished ground surface of the site within a 6 m radius of the new court shall be shaped, graded, and backfilled as necessary to direct water drainage away from the building and towards the nearby creek or natural drain with a minimum slope of 2%. The Contractor shall provide all other necessary materials and or accessories to build and install the roof cover. The Contractor shall visit the site and validate quantities presented in the design and government furnished materials list. As an alternate item the contractor will also make an offer on a sound system, The magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000 and the expect solicitation posting date is on or about 16 August 2011.
