Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation FA4877-11-Q-0576 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-53, Defense Circular Number 20110725, Air Force Acquisition Circular 2011-0714. This procurement is being issued as a 100% Small Business Set Aside under NAICS code 811111 with a size standard of $7.0M 0001 - Custom remanufactured 1995 Detroit Diesel 8V92 engine rebuild, serial # 08VF163156 for P23 Fire Truck back to O.E.M specifications. Parts that need to be replaced or rebuilt include: Replace thermatic control valve on oil cooler Replace oil cooler Replace oil level gauge (dipstick and tube) Replace oil pump and pick up tube and screen (filter) Replace both rocker cover and gaskets Replace oil fill cap Rebuild fuel injector control tube Rebuild valve operating mechanism Replace exhaust manifold gaskets Replace cylinder head gaskets Replace all exhaust clamps and gaskets Replace all air box drains Replace air inlet housing and gaskets Rebuild blower (supercharger) Replace after cooler and gaskets Replace accessory drive gaskets and seals Replace rear and front main seals Replace oil pan heater Replace oil thermostat Replace oil pan drain plug Replace flywheel housing gasket Replace flywheel mounting bolts Replace balance weight cover gasket Replace camshaft assembly left and right banks (to include all gears, bushings, bearings, spacers, pulley) Replace all pistons complete and all rings Replace all shell sets (crankshaft and pistons) Replace or resurface crankshaft Replace crankshaft pulley Replace engine front cover gasket Replace cylinder sleeves, gaskets and seals Replace end plate and front plate gaskets Replace small and large cover gaskets Replace all plugs and freeze plugs on block Replace all petcocks on black Replace all fuel injectors and fuel lines Replace fuel pump Replace or rebuild governor and shut off solenoid Replace turbo fiberglass hose Replace thermostats and thermostat housing gaskets Replace cooling system water pump Contractor shall provide all necessary tools, equipment, materials, transportation, personnel, supervision, management, and any other requirements needed to rebuild the engine. Contractor will use freight to pick up engine prior to repairs, and to return it after repairs. Engine has been removed from the fire truck and all fluids have been drained. Contractor is required to provide pallet to ship engine to contractor facility prior to and after completion. All quotes shall include price for parts, estimate on labor hours required, price per labor hour, and cost of freight. Any applicable taxes shall be added into the individual line items Shipping will be FOB Destination to 4085 S Fifth St, Bldg 4707, Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ 85707.
