- NOTE: This requirement has been previously solicited as DTFANM-11-R-00083. All data submitted under that solicitation have been retained and may be used for evaluation under this solicitation. Previous offerors are encouraged to submit additional or updated information and /or to revise their pricing. A new signed SF1442 and Section B, schedule of Supplies/Services & Price/Cost must be submitted. The purpose of this announcement is to seek competent and qualified contractors to perform Control Wing Renovations at the Seattle Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC) in Auburn, WA If you are viewing this announcement from another website, please be sure to view the original announcement at: http://faaco.faa.gov This acquisition is 100% set-aside for competition for Small Businesses under NAICS code 236220. Estimated Range of Construction is $1,000,000 to $2,000,000 Amount of proposal bond required with offer is 20% of the offeror's proposed price. Summary of Work: Renovation of the M-1 Area in the Control Wing and attic space at the Seattle Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC) located at 3101 Auburn Way South, Auburn, Washington. The work includes: Structural seismic upgrades for the M-1 Area in the Control Wing and attic.Construction of approximately 6,500 square feet of closed office and open office areas as well as mechanical and electrical rooms to support this space. Upgrades to the exterior wall with new insulation and appropriate fire rated separation. Installation of mechanical systems, which include air handling unit, variable air volume boxes, exhaust fans, hot water unit heaters, and associated direct digital controls, piping, ductwork, insulation, labeling, and supports. Also includes pre-action fire sprinkler systems (Viking Fire Cycle III) for the attic and first floor of the M-1 Room. Electrical work includes providing new lighting fixtures, electrical panelboards, power outlets and telecommunication outlets. Also includes providing a new public address system, LAN, telephone, and fire detection. In addition, the electrical work includes removing the existing fire detection devices: horn/strobes, beam transmitters/reflectors and pull stations. All work must be coordinated in order to maintain an operational facility. The total contract duration for completion of all work is 270 calendar days. A site visit is mandatory. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short Term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
