- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District is getting ready to advertise a FFP solicitation for one (1) and one (1) optional main unit turbine maintenance platform to be fabricated per COE detailed design to be delivered FOB destination to the John Day Dam, located in Rufus, Oregon. The Contractor is responsible to produce shop drawings, fabricate, deliver (FOB Destination), assemble, and load test the platform. The platform is made of aluminum, is approximately 25.5'in diameter and fits immediately below the main unit turbine. It shall be made up of segments that can be fit through the 3'by 2' draft tube man door, assembled inside the draft tube, raised into position, and secured for use. INTERESTED VENDORS: Please email Kathryn.A.Newhouse@usace.army with what could potentially be the lead time for manufacturing a scaffolding unit as roughly described above including delivery to the John Day Dam, located in Rufus Oregon. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. No solicitation or draft specifications are available at this time. This is in support of market research being conducted to identify capable potential sources and to establish if this requirement can be set-aside for small business or other socio-economic program set-asides. Solicitation is expected to be released on or around the third week of October. Contractors responding to this shall submit the minimum following information to Kathryn Newhouse: Kathryn.A.Newhouse@usace.army.mil.
