- The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville, FL Office intends to solicit for fire department service contract to inspect, test, and repair the department vehicles and equipment set forth by the manufacturers and certification requirements of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and Navy Occupational Safety and Health (NAVOSH), utilizing full and open competition procedures on behalf of the Naval Station Guantanamo Bay Cuba. Operating functions include: Visual Inspection of Cylinders, Hydrostatic test of Cylinders, Confined Space Equipment Testing, Air Cart Testing, Compressor Servicing, Level A Hazmat Suit Testing, Calibration of Minor and Major Equipment, ARFF Vehicle Testing, Ground Ladder Testing, Pump Testing Pumpers/Rescue/Tenders, Foam Conductivity Testing, Annual Inspection of Rescue Equipment, Parts and Labor for Repairs estimate, Data/Reporting and Software, Travel/Per Diem x 3 Techs, Excess Baggage Professional Equipment. This requirement is for one-year base period with two (2) one year options. Solicitation will be posted to NECO on or around 15 August 2011. The acquisition will be made in accordance with FAR parts 12, 15 and 13.5, utilizing Lowest Price Technical Acceptable (LPTA) procedures. The Government anticipates award of a single firm fixed price service type contract. The solicitation will be posted on NECO web site: www.neco.navy.mil under Business Opportunity under solicitation number N68836-11-R-0072. The Government will NOT distribute hard-copy solicitations or amendments. The Government will not mail, fax, or e-mail the solicitation or any amendments thereto. Subsequent amendments, if any, will be transmitted solely via the NECO web site. Prospective offerors are responsible for checking the NECO web site early and periodically for any solicitation amendments. Prospective offerors should not expect notification that an amendment has been issued. The NECO web site is occasionally inaccessible due to maintenance. The Government is not responsible for any loss of internet connectivity or for an offerors inability to access the document posted on the referenced web site. Telephone and facsimile requests will not be honored. Electronic submission of proposals via NECO is not available at this time.
