Description
This is not a request for either a quote or proposal, or an invitation for bid. The intent of this pre-solicitation synopsis is to identify potential offerors to Replace Doors and Electrical Panel at Building 426, Naval Air Station, Sigonella, Sicily, Italy by means of a firm fixed price construction contract. The contract duration shall be 120 calendar days from award. All contractors proposing on Department of Defense Solicitations must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award of the contract. This is a new procurement. It does not replace an existing contract. No information exists on prior contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238290. Contractors will be required to be certified in compliance with the Societa Organis d Attestazione (SOA) and provide proof of the certification with the submission of the firms offer. The classification is as follows: Prevailing category OG11, Class II. The estimated price range is between ‚¬180,300 and ‚¬360,600 Euros. The anticipated firm fixed price requirement includes removal of the existing electrical feeding system for the hangar doors, provide and install new feeding system for the hangar doors consisting of a new trolley-contact for each door running, along a dedicated bus bar, removal of existing hangar door rails and related concrete basement, provide new concrete basement with new rails for the hangar doors, removal and replacement of existing MCC panel in the north side of the building with a complete new one and modifications and upgrade of connected equipment in order to meet new requirements and leave the systems ready to work. Bidders can view and/or download the solicitation via the European Navy Electronic Commerce Online (EURONECO) website at https://euro.neco.navy.mil when it becomes available. All interested offerors shall register at this website. However, registration does not release bidders from the responsibility of checking the solicitation daily for any amendments or other notices pertaining to this solicitation. The solicitation is expected to be posted on 27 August 2011. Bids are expected to be due on 26 September 2011 at 2:00PM Central European Time (CET). All dates are tentative and are subject to change. This is an internet only solicitation so paper copies will not be provided. Pre bid conference and site visit information will be indicated on the solicitation documents.
