- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. No award is intended as a result of this RFI. This RFI is to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified sources; (2) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. The Government has a requirement to provide hospital housekeeping, grounds maintenance, regulated medical waste processing, recycle of paper/cardboard/green waste/aluminum cans/plastic bottles, and linen distribution services in accordance with Government mandated standards/outputs and regulations. The scope of work will be a Performance-Based (PB). This method of contracting requires the Government to provide specifications focused on outcome or results. The "how" is left to the Contractor. This allows the Contractor more flexibility in achieving the desired results. Offeror shall demonstrate practices where applicable to this requirement be consistent with American Society for Healthcare and Environmental Services (ASHES) "Practice Guidance for Healthcare Environmental Cleaning". These technical provisions specify work to be accomplished within the geographical location of the Tripler Army Medical Center/Department of Veteran's Affairs (TAMC/DVA). Facilities are varied and include the main hospital, outlying buildings and clinics at TAMC, U.S. Army Health Clinic at Schofield Barracks, Multi-Service Market Office, Pacific Regional Contracting Office, U.S. Coast Guard Integrated Support Command, Pacific Regional Dental Command, Pacific Regional Veterinary Command, Department of Veteran's Affairs Medical and Regional Office Center, Department of Veteran's Affairs Parking Structure, and Department of Veteran's Affairs Center for Aging (65-bed Center) Department of Veteran's Affairs Ambulatory Care Clinic and Community Based Primary-Care Clinic located at Kapolei. TAMC/DVA has a mobilization bed capacity of 1200 beds, 356 normal bed capacity, 431 operational bed capacity, 65 doctor Sleep Room beds, 29 Labor and Delivery beds, 22 Newborn Nursery beds, 35 Fisher House I/II beds, and 70 dental chairs. Tripler AMC/Department of Veteran's Affairs Facilities is the largest hospital in the Pacific arena, employing over 4000 military and civilian personnel. The annual inpatient load is 14,670 for TAMC/DVA. Outpatient visits at TAMC/DVA clinics approximately 1,256,304 patients. There are 40 buildings on approximately 370 acres with approximately 1.7 million square-feet of building area. All qualified vendors are invited to submit capability statements that substantiate their experience and qualifications in providing subject above within fourteen (14) days from the date of this notice. Interested vendors shall indicate if they have performed similar work at military treatment facilities and/or civilian hospitals. Vendors need to state their small business size standard status. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition is 561720 and the Size Standard is $16.5M.
