Description: This solicitation is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/ While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. NAVSURFWARCEN Crane Division proposes a contract action for supplies. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, DRS Technologies, 400 Professional Dr Suite 400, Gaithersburg, MD. 20879-3417 in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a) (2), œOnly one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy requirements. The Government intends to negotiate a firm fixed price (FFP) indefinite delivery “ indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract covering a five year period. All other offeror ™s may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency FAR 5.207(c)(15)(ii). However, a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. FAR Part 15 procedures will be used. CLIN 0001 “ AN/SPS-67(V) 5 Below Decks CLIN 0002 - AN/SPS-67(V) 5 Installation Check-Out kits CLIN 0003 - Contract Data Requirements Lists The procurement will be Fob Destination. Delivery is required 730 days from effective date of delivery order. A solicitation will not be available for download but requirements documents will be available for review by interested parties on or about 30 August 2011. Closing date will be on or about 30 September 2011. This notice is a synopsis and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it is not a commitment by the U.S. Navy to procure subject equipment.
