- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement to provide Janitorial Services for the Fort Wayne, International Airport, (ATCT) located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This procurement will be 100% set-aside for Very Small Business firms for NAICS code 561720. Very Small Business is defined as a firm with an average (over three (3) years) revenue of less than $8.25 million. Contractors must also have an active business address and phone number for a minimum of one (1) year which is within a One Hundred (100) mile radius on the above mentioned location.Contractors must have an active registration in the Central Contractor Registration website at http://www.ccr.gov before an award can be made. The performance period will be October 1, 2011 through September 30, 2012 with four (4) one year option periods. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued approximately August 16TH, 2011. In order to qualify to receive a copy of this RFP, prospective bidders must prove that they qualify as a very small business and have an active business address within One Hundred (100) miles of Fort Wayne, Indiana. All requests to receive a copy must be in writing via e-mail or fax to the Contracting Officer, at 847-294-7330, kim.erkman@faa.gov with the company name, mailing address, telephone number, and the complete RFP number. The deadline for RFP requests is August 19th, 2011, Close of Business (COB) 4:30 PM. Requests after this deadline will not be accepted. "This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
