Description
Electrical Systems Maintenance at NAVFAC Hawaii, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii The Contractor shall provide all labor, management, supervision, tools, material, parts and equipment required to perform repair/overhaul/rewind of various electric motors (varying in motor sizes between 75 and 600 horsepower) and Low Pressure Air Compressor Electrical Motor repair/renewal (1,600 horsepower). The work includes but is not limited to disassembling, inspecting, cleaning, baking, dipping, dynamic balancing, lubricating, reassembling, painting and testing electric motors to the manufacturer ™s original design and technical specifications, Clean Motor Windings of Low Pressure Air Compressor Electric Motor, Perform vibration tests at normal operating conditions (i.e. when the compressor is warm), Record readings. After the Contractor records the vibration readings, the Government will deliver the motor assembly to the Contractor ™s site for the motor repair/renewal work, Perform the following electrical testing of the motor and record readings to document the initial condition of the motor: (a) Motor insulation resistance test (factory test voltage is twice the rated voltage plus 1,000 volts (DC)); (b) AC voltage drop test on the rotor coils; (c) Surge test on the windings, Disassemble and inspect entire motor assembly (e.g. rotor, motor shaft, sleeve bearings, bearing housings, oil seals, rectifiers, exciter control assembly, space heaters, frame, etc.). The Government will deliver the motor assembly to the Contractor ™s workshop on Oahu and transport the renewed motor from the Contractor ™s workshop on Oahu back to the Government site. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 811310 and the annual size standard is $7,000,000. The contract term will be a base period of one year plus two option years. This contract will replace a contract for similar services awarded in 2006 for $76,750.00 (indefinite quantity estimate/maximum value per year). Information about the current contract and the incumbent contractor (e.g., value of last option exercised, firm name, address, etc.) will be included in the solicitation package. Requests under the Freedom of Information Act are not required for this information. Offerors can view and/or download the solicitation at https://www.neco.navy.mil/ when it becomes available. The solicitation will require offerors to submit a technical proposal, including past performance and experience information, and a price proposal for evaluation by the Government. IDIQ work may be issued via the DOD EMALL, a web-based ordering system, using Government purchase cards.
