- Marine Corps System Command is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and/or potential sources of logistics data elements and engineering data elements to support United States Marine Corps (USMC) Tactical Handheld Radio (THHR) systems. The USMC versions of the THHR systems that information is requested for are: the Thales AN/PRC-148A(V)3 Joint Tactical Radio System Enhanced Multiband Inter/Intra Team Radio (JEM) and the Thales AN/VRC-113 Small Form Factor-Single Vehicle Adapter (SSF-SVA). This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded based on this RFI. Marine Corps Systems Command seeks information concerning the availability of Logistics Management Information (LMI) used to determine the best business practices for post-warranty support of THHR systems. This LMI may include, but is not limited to, the following: Level “Of “Repair Analysis information; Work Breakdown Structure listings of Operator and Maintainer tasks; failure reporting to identify high-failure items; cost benefit analysis in support of, or against maintaining high-failure items; availability of Maintenance Manuals; Recommended Buy Lists for sustainment; Special tools and/or test equipment required to maintain the radios; tailored technical data packages to support configuration management; and Source, Maintenance, and Recoverability coding recommendations in line with the USMC Three Levels of Maintenance Concept. Information is sought concerning all parts related to the radios and vehicle adapters, which may include: cables, handsets, headsets, antennas, switches, knobs, pouches, batteries, chassis, chassis housing, amplifiers, handset cradles, and Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA). Interested sources are requested to submit recommendations on sources and availability of the information and parts listed above. If the interested sources have suggestions on the post warranty sustainability for these radios, please submit the recommendations and describe your ability to complete your recommendations. Please limit your submission to no more than five (5) pages. Vendors interested in potential subcontracting opportunities are also invited to respond. All interested sources are requested to identify their North American Industry Classification System code and small business status, if any. Interested sources are requested to send all correspondence via email to albert.whitley@usmc.mil no later than October 28, 2011. All correspondence shall include vendor ™s business name, address, CAGE or DUNS number and point of contact.
