- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 13.5, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F11PS01434 The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-53. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 621511Medical Laboratories with a small business size standard of $13.5M. This requirement is a 100% Small Business set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids. The government intends to award a firm fixed price contract for determination of elemental concentrations (using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry or equivalent laboratory methodologies) for between 900-1000 heparinized whole blood samples (1 mL each) from aprox 600 individually marked tundra swans and aprox 350 from greater white-fronted geese. Specific elements to be determined include in laboratory screening include: silver (Ag), aluminum (Al), arsenic (As), boron (B), barium (Ba), beryllium (Be), calcium (Ca), cadmium (Cd), cobalt (Co), chromium (Cr), copper (Cu), iron (Fe), mercury (Hg), potassium (K), lithium (Li), magnesium (Mg), manganese (Mn), molybdenum (Mo), sodium (Na), nickel (Ni), phosphorus (P), lead (Pb), selenium (Se), silicon (Si), tin (Sn), strontium (Sr), titanium (Ti), vanadium (V), and zinc (Zn). Deliverable product(s): Lab results (concentrations for each sample) in electronic spreadsheet form. Any remaining samples (left-over blood) will also be returned for archival purposes. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded for this effort, but the final number of samples is not known at this time. Please provide pricing per sample based on an expected total number of samples between 900 - 1000 Testing should be complete and results returned within 60 days of receiving samples.
