- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions submitted in response to the solicitation. As a result, the solicitation is amended as follows: Question 1) Will NIST accept a quotation that does not cover every aspect of this solicitation Answer 1) The Government will accept offers that do not address each of the line items and reserves the right to make multiple awards as a result of this solicitation. The solicitation includes FAR 52.212-1 by reference. Paragraph h of the provision addresses multiple awards and is included below for convenience: "(h) Multiple awards. The Government may accept any item or group of items of an offer, unless the offeror qualifies the offer by specific limitations. Unless otherwise provided in the Schedule, offers may not be submitted for quantities less than those specified. The Government reserves the right to make an award on any item for a quantity less than the quantity offered, at the unit prices offered, unless the offeror specifies otherwise in the offer." Question 2) Would NIST accept a power supply that does not include "local control"? Answer 2) No Question 3) Would NIST accept a power supply that included 12 bit resolution, as opposed to the 16 bit resolution specified? Answer 3) No Question 4) Would NIST accept a power supply that included 3.5 digit displays as opposed to the 4 digit displays specified? Answer 4) No Question 5) Would NIST accept a power supply that had 220 V ac- input only? Answer 5) Yes, this would be acceptable. Question 6) Was the specification in this solicitation created around a specific manufacturer's product? Answer 6) No. The specification represents the Government's minimum requirements for the performance of the power supplies. All other Terms and Conditions of the solicitation remain unchanged and are in full force and effect.
