Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 13.5, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.The solicitation number is 0010075844 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein.The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-53. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334515 with a small business size standard of 500.00 employees.This requirement is unrestricted and only qualified offerors may submit bids.The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2011-08-24 15:00:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com.FOB Destination shall be FORT RUCKER, AL 36362 The U.S. Army ACC MICC Fort Rucker requires the following items, Brand Name or Equal, to the following: LI 001, (ITEM AACS-S1-2-0) Automated Accelerometer Calibration System provides NIST traceable calibration of most accelerometer types, whether self-generating piezoelectric or accelerometers requiring current or voltage excitation. The output of the test accelerometer can be charge or voltage, signal-ended or differential, AC or C-coupled, isolated or grounded. The Automated Accelerometer Calibration System controls up to four excitation sources, such as the pneumatically driven exciter for shock measurements, and the high frequency or low frequency shaker for vibration measurements. Test configurations and test data are stored and managed using Microsoft. Access database. Tests may be automatically set up by recalling a particular test definition file which is specific to each transducer model. No operator adjustments are required for the particular gain, grounding, vibration levels, etc. Computer control helps eliminate operator error, enhances repeatability and ensures optimum signal-to-noise ratio and calibration accuracy. Includes: Model 2911 Vibration standard shaker - Built-in model 2270M18 standard accelerometer, High performance beryllium armature, Wide frequency range 2 Hz to 40 kHz, 10 mm stroke with unique air bearing. Model 2925 provides an accurate and controlled means of shock sensitivity calibration of accelerometers. The POP is designed to be used with the Model 2270 family of back-to-back comparison calibration standard accelerometers. Calibrations are performed at accelerations from 20 g to well above 10 000 g at half-sine pulse durations from 3 ms to 100ms. The system can be used manually in a stand-alone mode, or in a fully computer controlled mode., 1, EA; LI 002, (ITEM AACS US BASIC) BASIC SP 1 YR. Questions not received within a reasonable time prior to close of the solicitation may not be considered.*** For this solicitation, U.S. Army ACC MICC Fort Rucker intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. U.S. Army ACC MICC Fort Rucker is taking this action in an effort to improve both vendor access and awareness of requests and the agency's ability to gather multiple, competed, real-time bids.All responsible Offerors that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com.
