See pages 30 thru 32 of the attached Solicitation. The purpose of this presolicitation amendment is to correct a typo in the 'Response Time' section below. Email and facsimile proposals will be due September 1, 2011. See below. ************************************************************************ The purpose of this presolicitation amendment is to change the time, date, and location of the site visit. Site visit has been rescheduled for August 25, 2011 at 9:30. The location is at the Orleans Ranger District. See below for details (address). The name of the project has also changed. ************************************************************************ DESCRIPTION: This project involves the furnishing of all labor, supervision, equipment, transportation, and materials for the closure of the Owl Mine vertical shaft and Horse Mountain Mine horizontal adits on the Six Rivers National Forest. Work shall include the closure of mine shaft and adits, roadside clearing and grubbing, excavation, grading, and slope finishing on the Six Rivers National Forest. PROJECT LOCATION: The project sites are located on the Six Rivers National Forest. Horse Mountain Mine is located on Lower Trinity Ranger District within T6N R4E Section 33. Owl Mine is located on Orleans Ranger District within T11N R5E Section 35. The project lies within Humboldt County. PRICE RANGE: The price range for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. CONTRACT TIME: Estimated start work date: September 15, 2011 with a contract time of 90 days from the effective date of the Notice to Proceed. BONDS: A Payment Bond or Irrevocable Letter of Credit (ILC) in the amount of 100% of the contact price will be required of the successful contractor within 10 days of award. SITE VISIT: A pre-bid meeting is scheduled August 25, 2011 at 9:30am local time at Orleans Ranger District; 1 Ishi-Pishi Road; Orleans, CA 95556. SET-ASIDE: This procurement is 100% set aside for small business. NAICS code 237990, with a size standard of $33.5 million average annual receipts. SOLICIATION DOCUMENTS: The solicitation will issued as a Request for Quote requiring both price and technical proposals responding to evaluation criteria described in the solicitation. Documents will only be available electronically to download from this website on or about August 18, 2011. RESPONSE TIME: Request for Quote will be accepted at Northern California Acquisition Service Area, 3644 Avtech Parkway, Redding, CA 96002 NO LATER THAN 4:00 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time on September 1, 2011. Facsimile and emailed quotes will also be accepted by 4:00 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time on September 1, 2011. CCR AND ORCA REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS: Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the offeror will render the offer ineligible for award.
