Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, Springfield, Missouri, intends to issue solicitation RFQP04141100038 for the requirement of Chemical Services for the Food Service Department, located at the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, 1900 W. Sunshine Street, Springfield, Missouri. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 325611. The anticipated performance period will be a base year with three (3) option years. The base year is estimated to begin on October 1, 2011, and will conclude on September 30, 2012, with the option to extend services an additional three (3) years. Contractors' services to include all dispensing equipments and on-site visits by the vendor on a weekly basis to ensure equipment and chemicals are used correctly and in working order. Vendor to provide correctional secure chemical dispensing equipment to the high temp "flight type" Stero dish machine and to a pot and pan sink in the main kitchen at a minimum. Contractor is to provide a Low Temperature Single Tank Dish Machine at the Camp and in the Officer's Dinning Area. Contractor to provide training to staff and inmate workers as needed on the use of the chemicals and provide material safety data sheets (MSDS) on all chemicals. The following is a list of the chemicals and estimated quantities needed: Low Temp Dish Machine Detergent - 35 gal/mo; Quaternary Sanitizer - 15gal/mo; Rinse Aid - for Co-polymer plastics trays and flatware - 20 gal/mo; Liquid Pots and Pans/Manual Warewashing Detergent - 35 gal/mo; Grill and Oven Cleaner/Degreaser (6/28oz spray bottles - 2case/mo; General Purpose Degreaser - 12 gal/mo; Stainless Steal Polish (6/28oz spray bottles) - 1.5 case/mo; Lime and Calcium Remover - 4gal/mo; Pro-San Sanitizer/Final Rinse - 20ga;/mo. NOTE: Additional chemicals may be added based on needs and approval by the Food Service Administrator. The above quantities are estimates only. Actual charges will be done via Government purchase card on a monthly basis. Cost will be based on a per capita monthly cost based on the inmate population of 1150 inmates. The contract type is a firm-fixed price, FOB Destination and is restricted to 100% small business. The Government will award to the responsible contractor whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is considered to be most advantageous to the Government. The solicitation will be available on or about August 31, 2011, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fbo.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this solicitation. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The anticipated date for receipt of quotations is on or about September 14, 2011. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. Per FAR 52.212-3, each offeror shall complete their representations and certifications via the Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA) at http://orca.bpn.gov.
