- Description
- This requirement is for a 5-year, Firm-Fixed Price, Requirements-Type Indefinite-Delivery contract for the repair of failed Joint-Service Electronic Combat Systems Testers (JSECST) Core Test Sets (CTSs). NSN for the CTS is 4920-01-461-6316EW. This requirement will consist of one basic contract period of 12 months and 4 annual options. The Best Estimated Quantities (BEQs) for each ordering period are as follows: Basic - 10 each Option I - 10 each Option II - 10 each Option III - 10 each Option IV - 10 each There is no minimum or maximum order amount established. The RFP is being issued on a sole source basis to AAI Corporation (CAGE 97384). The proposed contract action is for services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. It is anticipated that the RFP will be released on or around 6 September 2011. The RFP will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities webpage ( http://www.fbo.gov/ ).
