- NASA/GRC has a requirement for continued annual maintenance and support for oursoftware licenses as listed below:(4) Core Master Modeler Item A001-MT(1) Master Drafting Item A002-MT(1) Surfacing Set Item A003-MT(2) Assembly Set Item A004-MT(3) MasterFEM Package Item A026-MT(2) I-deas MasterFEM (Bundle) Item A026G-MT(1) Material Data Catalog-MDLA Item A086-MT(1) STEP Data Translator Item A103-MT(1) ANSYS Data Translator Item A108-MT(1) NASTRAN Data Translator Item A-110-MT(1) I-deas AutoCAD Data Translator Item A121-MT(1) Response Analysis Item A145-MT(1) Mechanism Design Item A172-MT(1) Master Notation Item A180-MT(3) NX License Borrow Option Item NX21001-MT(1) NX Nastran Dekstop (Bundle) Item NXN110G-MTNASA/GRC intends to purchase this annual maintenance and support from SIEMENS GOVERNMENTSERVICES, INC., PLM Division, 1881 Campus Commons Dr., Ste 300, Reston, VA 20191.The licenses were originally purchased from this vendor, they hold the source code whichis proprietary to them, and no other vendor can provide the support. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the SimplifiedAcquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.The Sole Source is under the authority of FAR reference 13.106-1(b)1. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon August 22, 2011. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
