- This is a Sources Sought Notice; there is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for solicitation will receive no response. This Sources Sought Notice is published for market research purposes only. This Sources Sought Notice is conducted to identify potential sources capable of meeting the requirements described below. The Wilkes Barre Veterans Affairs Medical Center (WBVAMC) located at 1111 East End Blvd, Wilkes Barre, PA 18711 requires cardiac event monitoring services seven days per week, twenty-four hours per day. The contractor shall supply cardiac event monitoring devices to the WBVAMC capable of providing heart rhythm monitoring twenty-four (24) hours a day for up to a thirty (30) day period. Devices shall be single or dual channel event monitor devices that operate in a looping mode or event mode and that are attached to the patient through removable electrodes or a handheld device that can be held to the patient's chest to record. Devices shall come with a minimum of a 30 (thirty) day supply of all accessories required for operation including but not limited to batteries, charger, leads, and pads, as applicable. The contractor shall supply enrollment forms and a trackable self-addressed postage (ground or equivalent delivery) paid protective container for patients to return devices to the contractor ™s facility. The contractor shall be available to receive telephonic transmission of data from device seven days per week, twenty-four hours per day. Reports shall be faxed to the WBVAMC and available on secure website for viewing within twenty-four hours of receipt of device. The contractor shall also provide notification of cardiac abnormalities within one hour of discovery of abnormality. The applicable NAICS Code is 621999 and the size standard is $10.0M. All interested parties shall respond, via email, with information describing their interest and experience providing cardiac event monitoring services to rachel.turk@va.gov no later than 12:00 pm on Monday 29 August 2011. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The Government will neither award a contract solely on the basis of this notice nor will it reimburse the contractor for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice. This notice does not constitute a Request for Quotation (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor does this issuance restrict the Government's acquisition approach. The Government reserves the right to reject in whole or part any industry input as a result of this announcement. The Government recognizes that proprietary data may be a part of this effort. If so, clearly mark such restricted or proprietary data and present it as an addendum to the non-restricted/non-proprietary information. If the Government decides to award a contract for this or related effort, a solicitation will be published and posted on the FedBizOpps website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FedBizOpps website and downloading a copy of the solicitation.
