- Public Announcement of Intent to Purchase on a Sole Source Basis. The Government intends to procure Encyclopedia Britannica online. NAICS: 519130, FSC: 7610, SIZE STANDARD: 500 employees. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This synopsis is being published for informational purposes only. The proposed source is Mitchell One OnDemand5.com. The provider is considered a unique source that provides a comprehensive, web-based package including color wiring diagrams, a collaborative space for providing lessons learned, and other information to make special/routine jobs easier and time saving. On Demand5 includes diagnostics, repair information, TSBs (Technical Service Bulletins), recalls, maintenance requirements, parts prices, labor times, vintage information, fluid types, and volumes that have been reproduced directly from the original equipment manufacturers' published works. Medium-Truck.net has coverage back to 1990 and provides the trucking industry with the first complete web-based service and repair information for classes 4 through 7 medium-duty straight trucks. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the Air Force. The Government will consider any responses received within 3 days of issuance of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement, and the Government does not intend to pay for any information received in response to this announcement.
