Description

Pre-Solicitation Notice for Lego Mind storms and Lego Wedo Robotics Construction sets. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement for Lego Mind storms Education NXT Kits and Lego Wedo Robotics Construction Kits to support NDEP (National Defense Education Program) to infuse more technology into the Montgomery County School System. The set-aside for small business concerns has been dissolved. The NAICS Code is 454113. NSWCCD intends to award a non-competitive firm fixed price purchase order to Lego Education, USA. Lego Education Robotics Construction Sets are the only elementary-age project based engineering tools which use both Lego Brick Construction and LABVIEW control software. Award to any other source may not meet the specific requirements to execute the current program and partnership with Montgomery County Elementary Schools. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received by 12 noon on Wednesday, September 7, 2011, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
