- Description
- The NAVSUP FLC Norfolk Contracting Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis with Right Star Systems of Vienna Va., for support and maintenance of the BMC Remedy AR System Fast Track Support at the Naval Personnel Command PERS-54. Right Star Systems will provide one year of maintenance and licensing of the Naval Personnel Command BMC Remedy AR System. Right Star Systems has been deemed the most appropriate supplier of the required support services as they are the original supplier. Ongoing maintenance and licensing support of the Rightstar version of BMC Remedy AR System is proprietary to Right Star Inc.. Brand Name Requirement: This software has been thoroughly researched, tested and accepted by an interagency committee, which validates software for interoperability, functionality and mission cohesiveness. The Navy intends to solicit for a Firm Fixed Priced contract. This procurement is a sole source acquisition with Right Star Systems, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. After an extensive review of the inherent limitations of the BMC Remedy AR System and the industry, Right Star Systems was found to be the most appropriate provider of these services. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 511210. Numbered Note 22: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement with a Technical Capability Statement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all capability statements received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
