- The Defense Logistics Agency, DLA Maritime Norfolk, Norfolk Naval Shipyard Contracting Office, intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price contract to procure two aluminum accommodation ladders for use on the USS Oak Hill. The ladders shall be fabricated in accordance with Navy drawing 804-2255408 REV C and Hallman drawings HC-1104, HC-1105, and HC-1106. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 332312 (Fabricated Structural Metal Manufacturing) and the procurement is set aside for small businesses. The contract line item is as follows: CLIN 0001: 2 each Aluminum Accommodation Ladder Assemblies, starboard side, to include upper rotating platform with handrails, support yoke, lower platform with boat fender and shell bumpers, and ladder safety step assembly. Ladders shall be 34 feet long with 30-inch wide feathering treads and shall be fabricated in accordance with the Navy and Hallman drawings referenced above. The solicitation number is SPMYM1-11-T-0175 and the solicitation is expected to be posted on or around 29 August 2011. Drawings may be requested from Bonnie Parker by email (bonnie.parker@navy.mil) or by telephone (757-396-0282). Note that the set of drawings must be mailed, as an electronic copy is not available. Technical questions must be written and sent by email (bonnie.parker@navy.mil). Please make sure that the solicitation number (SPMYM1-11-T-0175) is included in the subject line of any email correspondence. Emails without subject lines will not be read because of security issues. Potential offerors are hereby notified that the solicitation and any subsequent amendments will only be available by downloading the documents at either www.neco.navy.mil or www.fedbizopps.gov, as this office no longer issues hard-copy solicitations. By submitting a quote, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither it nor its principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal agency.
