- This is a Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Contract by The National Institutes of Health, Clinical Center 9000 Rockville Pike, Bethesda Maryland, 20892 for The Department of Bioethics to obtain the services of the University of George Washington to determine the current incorporation of socioeconomic status (SES) and develop a valid indicator of SES. The contractor shall work on this project to determine the current incorporation of socioeconomic status indicators in electronic health records in community health centers. Develop a validated indicator of socioeconomic status. Determine the information technology requirements of incorporating a standardized socioeconomic status indicator in diverse electronic health records. Foster a research network of community health centers to support future incorporation the socioeconomic status indicator in their electronic health records and develop future community based research studies using the socioeconomic status indicator. The Government intends to award a sole source contract in accordance with FAR Part 6 for the above service to University of George Washington, 2121 I Street NW, Washington D.C., 20147 Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other will satisfy the agency requirements. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE IS 611310. All responses received within 15 days of the publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The intended period of performance for this requirement is 14 months September 2011 to November 2012.
