- SYNOPSIS: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a construction project. The Statement of Objectives (SOO) defines the requirements for the contractor to engineer, furnish, install and test (EFI&T) new fiber optic cables to buildings 342 and 352 at Homestead ARB, FL. RESTRICTIONS: This solicitation is set aside 100% for SBA Certified Hubzone Firm. This acquisition will be made under NAICS code 238210-Fiber Optic Cable Installation, with a size standard of $14,000,000. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: The contractor shall provide all services, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, transportation, labor, supervision, management, and other incidentals necessary to EFI &T the requirements as stated in this SOO. All equipment, supplies, and materials provided shalll be new and not refurbished and shall be weather and corrosion resistant. BID SCHEDULE: Solicitation is for a contractor to provide all plant, labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment, appliances and supervision necessary to install fiber optic cable at buildings 342 and 352 at Homestead ARB, FL. See attachments for project details and procedures for submission of proposal. SITE VISIT: A site visit is scheduled and attendance by interested contractors is HIGHLY recommended. Date and time of site visit is August 25, 2011 at 0900. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The anticipated period of performance for this requirement will be for 30 days.
