Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with {rimex Wireless under their GSA Federal Supply Schedule Contrct, GS-02F-0068V for 114 GPS Clocks and a Satellite Repeater. This is a follow on award to the original GSA Advantage award which was competed through the GSA Federal Supply Schedule in September 2009. Primex Wireless is a small business. In accordance with the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b)(1), the Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the acquisitionaction deem only one source reasonably available. Primix Wireless provided the clocks and original GPS antenna,which is currently in use in the Social Security Administration located at 300 Spring Garden Street, Philadelphia PA 19123. For the sake of continuity and operational efficiency, SSA shall issue a firm, fixed price sole source award using FAR Part 8.4056(a)(1)(C), to procure the requirement. Responses to this notice should be submitted August 29, 2011. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged.
